An affidavit obtained by News Channel 9 yesterday (Thursday, Mar. 10) provides additional information on the incident. According to the affidavit, one officer shot suspect Jonathan Hayward Finley, who was released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon and transferred to the Silverdale Detention Center. As per standard procedure, the officer who fired the weapon is on paid leave as the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office investigates the incident. (News Channel 9)
- Calling all writers: on Saturday, Mar. 26, the Chattanooga Writers' Guild is hosting its working "A Spring Trio: Writing Your Life In Three Parts" by Sonja Livingston. Though Livingston will appear virtually, the event will be held live at the Edney Innovation Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. According to the guild, the workshop is primarily aimed at memoirists but is also valuable for all writers who want to better infuse their own voice into their work.
