About Us
Mr. Lawn Care is a lawn treatment specialist based in Columbia, Tennessee, serving homeowners along the I-65 corridor throughout Middle Tennessee. We are treatment-only: no mowing, no landscaping. Middle Tennessee sits in the USDA 6b to 7a transition zone, which means lawns here face both a true winter and a humid subtropical summer. Between nightly dew that keeps grass blades wet up to twelve hours a day and summer nighttime temperatures above 75 degrees, our region is one of the toughest fungal environments in the country.
Owner AJ is a University of Tennessee Certified Lawn Care Professional, licensed by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture under Charter 5537 and Category 3 Horticulture Pest Control License 96346. We are members of the Tennessee Turfgrass Association and the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance, BBB A+ Accredited, and a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite.
Our specialties: fescue and Bermuda management in the transition zone, brown patch and dollar spot fungus control on a 28-day liquid fungicide cycle from May through August, custom fertilization rates built for each lawn, pre- and post-emergent weed control with spot treatment for dallisgrass and Johnson grass, grub and armyworm protection included standard, core aeration paired with liquid aeration and fall overseeding, soil testing at signup for every customer, plus standalone mosquito, flea, tick, and mole trapping services.
We use liquid fungicides only — granular versions have no upward mobility through the grass blade and do not work on brown patch. We do not push lime as a routine service; out of thousands of samples pulled across Middle Tennessee, fewer than ten actually needed it.
Billing: a flat Monthly Pay Plan with no hidden fees or credit card surcharge, or prepay by check and save 5%. Local, licensed, not a franchise. Every lawn on our route is looked at by a certified horticulturist.
