Cookeville Regional Board Unveils Construction Timeline (theucnow.com) — Cookeville Regional's board has set an 11‑month construction timeline for a new 40‑bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, with demolition of the current outpatient unit starting next week. The joint venture with Encompass Health aims to open in late 2027, expand to 50 beds, and improve local access to rehab care, while new board leadership takes shape to guide the project.

CPD releases details about pedestrian hit in crash last week (herald-citizen.com) — Cookeville police have released details on last Friday's crash in which a pedestrian on a scooter was struck on West 12th Street and airlifted to Vanderbilt. Investigators say a Cookeville driver in the left lane could not see the pedestrian crossing between stopped cars, and no charges have been filed as the victim continues recovering from injuries.
