Cookeville High School Receives Digital Marquee Donation (theucnow.com) — Cookeville High School will soon install a new digital marquee at its main entrance, funded by a donation from First National Bank and electrical work approved by the Putnam County School Board. The sign will replace the static front sign, allowing rotating announcements that highlight students and staff, share schedule changes, and improve communication with families and the wider community.

2. New Hospital Set For Cookeville (ucbjournal.com) — Cookeville is getting a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital on the CRMC campus, with a groundbreaking set for Sept. 14 at 215 W. Sixth Street. The Encompass Health–CRMC partnership will expand local access to specialized rehab care for residents recovering from illnesses, injuries, surgeries, and other serious medical conditions across the Upper Cumberland.

3. Tennessee upcoming events Sep 07 (lemonwire.com) — Cookeville residents have a home-game option this week, with Tennessee Tech hosting Samford at Tucker Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 12. The statewide roundup also highlights dozens of concerts, sports, and family events across Tennessee, giving you ideas for day trips beyond Putnam County throughout the week of Sept. 7–13.

Pierce named SoCon Offensive Player of the Week (ttusports.com) — Tennessee Tech volleyball standout Alayna Pierce has been named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week after a dominant MVP performance at the Golden Eagle Invitational in Cookeville. Fans are invited to follow Tech on the road in Colorado Springs, then pack the Hooper Eblen Center on September 25 when the Golden Eagles return home to open conference play against Furman with free admission.
