1 Dead, 1 On The Run After Briley Parkway Rollover Wreck

A 73-year-old driver died on the scene, but his passenger was seen escaping the rollover crash on foot.

MADISON, TN — An early-morning crash on Briley Parkway killed the driver and apparently sent the passenger running.

Metro Police believe the 73-year-old driver was travelling too fast on the southbound entrance ramp to Briley from Gallatin Pike at 5:15 Friday morning when his car hit the noise barrier and rolled over. The driver, who has not been identified, died on the scene, but witnesses told police they saw a younger man crawl from wreckage and run away from the accident.

Witnesses say the passenger is a tall, white man weighing 150 pounds wearing a blue shirt with blood on his forehead.
