Hilary Beamon, the victim in the carjacking, told News 2 she was waiting out Saturday afternoon's rain storm when someone got out of a speeding Yaris, approached her, opened her car and pulled a gun. She managed to keep her phone, calling 911. When police arrived, they told her about the connection between her carjacking and the stolen Yaris, both tied to a 15-year-old suspect.
“I have questions like why are you doing this? Do you not have anything better to do with your time? What makes you think this is OK? Why do you need this car at 15?” she told WKRN.
