A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition after a broad daylight shooting in East Nashville.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A 19-year-old woman is recovering in the hospital after a mid-morning shooting outside an East Nashville apartment complex.
Police say two women — 19-year-old Tarshay Broughton and 20-year-old Jacquietta Easley — were sitting in a car outside the Berkshire Place Apartments at Cahal Avenue and Porter Road when a shot rang out around 10:45 Thursday morning. Broughton was hit and was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Easley told police that she herself had been arguing with her boyfriend, Timothy White, also 20, before the shooting. White is now wanted for attempted criminal homicide. Police say he fled in a 2016 Nissan Altima.
