Armed Robber Hits Two Donelson Gas Stations
Cashier shoots back after being held up at a Stewart's Ferry Mapco.

DONELSON, TN — Metro Police say the same man robbed two Donelson convenience stores overnight and, at the second one, took on some gunfire for his trouble.
A man robbed the Delta Express at 5766 Old Hickory Boulevard early Wednesday and police say the suspect fled in a silver Nissan Sentra.
Around 10:30 p.m., the same man attempted to rob the Mapco Express at 585 Stewart's Ferry Pike, demanding cash from the cashier at gunpoint and then shooting at him when he didn't provide the cash with satisfactory haste. The cashier handed over the money and then chased the suspect as he fled, firing at him with a 9 mm pistol. The suspect fired back at the cashier, hitting him in the arm.

The cashier drove to the hospital and is going to be OK, police say.
The suspect is a light-skinned black male, 6-feet-1 inch tall. He was wearing a black scarf around his face, a black hooded sweatshirt and white and black Converse.
