Careening SUV Crashes Into East Nashville House
An SUV was reportedly involved in multiple wrecks on Gallatin Road before crashing into a house.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — An SUV reportedly involved in a string of wrecks on Gallatin Road came to a thunderous halt after crashing into an East Nashville home.
Samantha Hughes, 30, is charged with child endangerment, child neglect, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. Police say her runaway Chevrolet SUV caused several wrecks before it careened into a home at Inga Street and Carolyn Avenue.
“I hear a huge crash, the house rumbles,” homeowner Meghan Lee told WKRN. “Yeah, we saw it coming straight for us. ... So, there is a huge hole where our crawl space is. Everything kind of shifted that way toward the house. So, the door frame’s kind of messed up, the floor boards are messed up.”
