East Nashville 'Burger Burglar' Arrested

The man wanted in a string of eight robberies, mostly of restaurants, picked up during traffic stop.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A man suspected in a string of burglaries, mostly of East Nashville restaurants, was arrested Thursday during a traffic stop.

Investigators say Clarence Wright, 21, was captured on surveillance video using a credit card at Kroger that had been stolen from East Nashville BBQ Co. October 20.

According to police, Wright admitted to being involved in burglaries of PizzeReal, Far East, Pied Piper, Burger Up, East Nashville BBQ Co., Mini Market, Rumours East Nashville and Rudie’s Seafood.

He is also accused of attempting to burglarize Atomic Nashville.

His bond was set at $90,000. Wright is due in court October 31.
