East Nashville Dollar General Robbed By Jags Hat-Wearing, Candy-Buying, Gun-Toting Man

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A man wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars ball cap bought some candy and then robbed a Dickerson Pike Dollar General at gunpoint, according to police.

The man entered the store around 8:40 p.m. Friday and then the cashier opened the drawer as the man paid for his candy, the alleged Jaguars fan pulled a gun and demanded cash.

The suspect then ran 98 yards to a waiting car — which would give the suspect the third-best rushing performance of the season for his apparent favorite team — and fled in the four-door sedan with the undisclosed amount of cash.
