East Nashville Pair Steal GPS-Equipped Truck, Arrested In School Parking Lot: Police
Metro Police weren't buying the excuses of two men accused of stealing a truck and fleeing to Hunters Lane High School.

NASHVILLE, TN — Two men offered up plenty of excuses but very few answers when confronted by police in a school parking lot and accused of stealing a truck.
Investigators went to Hunters Lane High School Monday, following the ping from a GPS of a truck that had been reported stolen. As they arrived, a man on the passenger side of the truck got out and the truck began to roll forward, but was blocked by a police cruiser.
The passenger told officers he had only just arrived at the truck because he thought it was being driven by a friend of his. Police say, however, that surveillance footage from the school clearly shows that he was in the truck when it arrived. Meanwhile, the driver said that he had not stolen the truck, he had borrowed it from a friend, but he refused to say who the friend was.
