Hermitage Convenience Store Robbed At Gun Point
The man who robbed a Hermitage Thornton's fired shots into the air while fleeing near a neighboring Big Lots.

HERMITAGE, TN — A Hermitage convenience store was held up early Wednesday morning and the fleeing thief allegedly fired his gun into the air as he escaped.
Police say a man making a purchase at the Thornton's on Lebanon Pike near Old Hickory Boulevard around 1 a.m. pulled a handgun and demanded money. When the clerk opened the register, the man grabbed the cash, fled the store and then fired his gun into the air as he ran by a nearby Big Lots.

Investigators say the thief is a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark sleeves, gray sweatpants and white tennis shoes.
