Hermitage Drivers Get Slimed

Several motorists in Hermitage fell victim to an "egg-like substance" thrown on their windshields.

HERMITAGE, TN — A handful of Hermitage drivers were apparently the targets of a slimy — and potentially dangerous — prank over the weekend.

NewsChannel 5 reports several drivers said "an egg-like substance" was flung on to their windshield by another motorist. The clerk at a gas station near Jacksonian Drive and Lebanon Pike said at least five people came to her store to clean their windshields within 15 minutes.

"Any little thing can cause an accident," one of the drivers, Brook Hill, told the station. "Something out of nowhere like that definitely could've caused someone to drive off the road and hit another car or hit someone walking on the side of the street."

None of the cars sustained damage — just a mess — and Hill said she is not intending to file a police report.
