Horse & Jockeys: Nashville Man Hid Heroin In His Underwear, Police Say

A 24-year-old man was found with nearly five ounces taped in his underwear, according to Nashville police.

NASHVILLE, TN — A 24-year-old man was arrested late Friday night after Metro Police say they discovered more than a quarter-pound of heroin in his underwear.

Alexander Gonzalez was initially stopped on Interstate 65 near Rivergate Parkway for following a truck too closely. Gonzalez did not pull over with the level of alacrity the officer felt was appropriate, according to the affidavit, and was "moving around the driver's seat."

After some linguistic confusion, a bilingual officer arrived and asked Gonzalez if he would consent to a search. During the search, the officer allegedly discovered 4.7 ounces of heroin wrapped in black tape inside Gonzalez's underwear. The smack down his pants has a street value of more than $25,000.
