Indifferent East Nashvillian Unfazed By Stolen Sod
Why steal sod when the owner will just give it to you?

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — An East Nashville homeowner does not care if his sod is stolen, but his neighbor sure does, NewsChannel 5 reports.
Juan Gonzalez told the station he woke up around 1 a.m. Monday to the sound of car doors opening and closing. Peering through his window, he saw four men tossing sod from his neighbor's yard into a Dodge Ram pick-up.

"I turned my porch light on to let them know someone's watching, and they all jumped in the truck and took off," Gonzalez told the station.
Once alerted, his neighbor said he wasn't particularly concerned about the absconded sod, as he was finished with it anyway; in fact, Gonzalez told the station, the neighbor said he was going to put a sign that says "free" on the sod.

Though the sod-owner may be indifferent about the purloined pasturage, Gonzalez told WTVF he's spreading the word anyway.
"We have a lot of families that live right through here, and if they're gonna take sod off your front lawn, what else are they gonna take?" he said.
