Joyriding Teen Taken to Hospital After Crashing Pick-Up into Madison Home

MADISON, TN — A teenager was taken to the hospital after crashing a truck into and then through a home in Madison. Metro Police say the truck was stolen.

The truck crashed through an exterior wall and then came to a stop inside the house on Cheyenne Boulevard around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. There were three people inside the house but none were injured.

The truck had been reported stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex. Officers investigating saw a teenager get inside the pick-up and drive off. Police say they did not pursue, but while searching for the truck saw the teenager running away. Then they saw the truck inside the house. The suspect was taken into custody and then transported to Skyline Medical Center.

The homeowner told WKRN he was inside with his brother and step-son when the truck came barreling through the house. He said his brother was in the kitchen and pinned back by debris.
