Madison Sex Offender Claimed To Be Attorney, Raped 'Client': Police
A convicted sex offender and paralegal raped a woman who paid him $800 to represent her, Metro Police allege.
MADISON, TN — A convicted sex offender who works as a paralegal at a Madison law firm raped a woman after telling her he was an attorney, according to Metro Police. Investigators say that the man, who has previous convictions in Davidson County for criminal simulation and impersonation in addition to his Michigan conviction for criminal sexual conduct, took money from the woman to represent her in Sumner County court.
The victim paid Wayne A. Willemsen, 39, $800 in attorney fees, but days later, he showed up at her home and attempted to kiss her, according to an affidavit. A few days later, he returned to her home, showed her a badge and threatened her with arrest if she did not come with him. She complied and said that Willemsen took her to his house, raped her in a bedroom and then ate a bowl of cereal before driving her back home.
Investigators say Willemsen claimed to be a member of the Nashville Bar Association; he is not. He is also not listed as a licensed attorney with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.
