Man Hit By Car In Five Points

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A man is recovering from his injuries after he was struck by a car crossing East Nashville's Five Point intersection.

Around 1 a.m. he man was crossing Gallatin Pike at Forrest Avenue behind two other people when he was hit. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The man was wearing dark clothing and the driver said he did not see the man prior to the crash. The driver showed no signs of intoxication.

The victim and his two friends were leaving the strip of popular nightspots and there were indications they had been drinking, police said.
