Man Injured In Crash With Train Walks Half Mile For Help
A man whose car was hit by a train in Madison Tuesday night walked a half-mile after the wreck for help.

MADISON, TN -- A man whose car was hit by a train in Madison Tuesday night walked more than a half-mile for help following the crash, according to Metro Police.
Around 10:15 Tuesday night, the man's car was struck by a train at the crossing near Williams Avenue and Gallatin Pike. His windshield busted and his car had front-end damage. The man then walked more than a half-mile to a gas station to call his family for help. His sister then drove him back to the scene and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the guard arms at the crossing were lowered and the lights were flashing.
