Man Injured in East Nashville Shooting, but Police Say His Story Doesn't Add Up

Investigators say evidence at the scene does not match up with the victim's story.

NASHVILLE, TN — A man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center early Monday after being shot in the leg during an argument.

The man told police that two other people were arguing at South 4th Street and Shelby Avenue in East Nashville when the argument escalated and someone fired a gun, striking him in the leg.

But investigators say the physical evidence does not match up with the man's story. He is recovering with non-life-threatening injuries.
