Man Shot During East Nashville Cigar Stick-Up

Metro Police say a man walking home in East Nashville was shot by multiple people and had his cigars stolen.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A man who was shot on his way from an East Nashville market is recovering and police are searching for the people who attacked him Tuesday.

The man was shot on Bronte Avenue on his way home from the Litton Corner Market after three people approached him and demanded his property. The victim attempted to flee and was shot. The shooters stole the man's cigars, according to police.

Another person drove the victim to St. Thomas Midtown hospital from where he was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

All three suspects are said to be black males wearing dark colored hoodies with an average build, young in age and under 6-feet tall.
