Man Stabbed In Stomach During East Nashville Robbery
At first the man thought he'd just been punched during the hold-up, but later realized he had a flesh wound.
EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A man was held up and stabbed in the stomach early Thursday in East Nashville.
The 20-year-old told police he was walking on North Ninth Street near Ramsey Avenue shortly after midnight when a black man in his 50s wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt approached him and attempted to rob him and punched him in the stomach.
Only once he arrived him did the 20-year-old realize that he'd also been stabbed. He drove himself to Vanderbilt University Medical Center is expected to be OK.
