Nashville Man Arrested With 18 Pounds Of Pot On I-65
Police pulled over a man doing nearly 30 miles per hour over the speed limit and discovered a large amount of marijuana.

NASHVILLE, TN — After stopping a man allegedly doing nearly 30 mph over the speed limit on Interstate 65, Metro Police say they found nearly 18 pounds of marijuana.
Sedrick Talley, 38, was pulled over on I-65 near the Interstate 24 split Friday, clocked at 84 mph in a 55 mph zone. The officer who stopped him smelled marijuana inside the car and placed Talley into his cruiser as he conducted a search, finding a blunt near the gear shift and a small amount of marijuana, according to an affidavit. Talley was also found with a baggie of marijuana in his pants pocket.
A more exhaustive search of the car resulted in the discovery of three trash bags of marijuana, weighing a total of 17.76 pounds, according to the police report. Talley is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set at $20,000.
