Nashville Police: Man Arrested After 18-Day Crime Spree
Sparked by an alleged domestic altercation, a 23-year-old Nashville man went on a weeks-long rampage, police say.
NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police arrested a 23-year-old man Monday on 17 different charges stemming from a weeks-long crime spree that included the alleged shooting of several gas pumps.
Police did not reveal the details of how Raphale Leeanthony Holt was discovered and arrested, but he was taken into custody Monday night. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
Holt's apparent 18-day rampage began May 25. His ex-girlfriend called police after Holt allegedly threw rocks at her window, yelled for her and pointed a handgun at her. Six days later, the woman said she heard gunshots outside of her apartment and saw Holt driving by. When she left for work, her tire went flat and she saw bullet holes in her front bumper.

Later that night, investigators say Holt went to his mother's house, but she told him he could not hide out there, angering him. A bystander tried to calm the situation, but then Holt allegedly assaulted the bystander and his mother before fleeing again.
On June 2, a half dozen witnesses told police they saw Holt drive into the Delta Express at Dickerson Pike and Broadmoor, shooting at cars and hitting gas pumps. No one was injured. Again, Holt fled before police arrived.

On June 6, Holt's attention returned to his ex-girlfriend. As she was driving on Brick Church Pike, she saw him in the back seat of a passing car. She told detectives he fired his gun at her, striking the rear of her car.
The next day, police tried to pull Holt over at Ewing Drive and Brick Church, but he raced away, crossing the center line and driving against traffic.
Holt is charged with seven counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, five counts of vandalism, simple assault, domestic assault, evading arrest, reckless driving and driving on a revoked license.
