Old Hickory Girl Says She Was Abducted
Metro Police are working to corroborate a 7-year-old's claim that a man took her into an apartment.
OLD HICKORY, TN — Metro detectives are looking for information on a man a 7-year-old girl in Old Hickory says abducted her last week.
With the girl's assistance, a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation artist produced a sketch of the man, who the girl says took her from outside her apartment on 26th Street near Old Hickory Boulevard. The girl's story is as yet uncorroborated.
The girl said a man wearing a ski mask, black clothing and boots took her to a house nearby between 3:40 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 8. Police have not located the home. The girl said the man took off his ski mask and told her to take off her skirt. The child was not physically harmed. The girl said she was able to escape when the man went to another room.
