Police: Ex-Con Arrested With Illegal Gun, Drugs After Fleeing Traffic Stop
Metro Police say a 23-year-old convicted felon was carrying a stolen handgun and seven grams of cocaine.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police arrested a convicted felon after he allegedly tried to flee a traffic stop on Main Street Monday night.
Two officers tried to pull over a Saturn Vue around 9:30 p.m., which was slow to pull over, eventually making a U-turn into a parking lot and with the driver then trying to escape by foot.
Officers ordered the driver, identified as Joshua Hogan, 23, to stop. He then pulled a handgun from his waistband and threw it in some nearby bushes. After he was taken into custody, investigators found a .40-caliber, semi-automatic pistol with an extended magazine in the bushes. The handgun was reportedly stolen in Florida.
