One In Custody For Questioning After Gunfire At Cayce Homes

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police are questioning at least one person after a report of gunfire at the James A. Cayce Homes.

Gun shots were reported around 8 a.m. Thursday at the East Nashville public housing project. No one was hurt, but a school bus was nearby. The driver was concerned about the students on board and two Davidson County sheriff's deputies stayed with the bus until law enforcement gave the all-clear.

Early indications are that two people traded shots on Seventh Street and the gunfight continued into the Cayce Homes on Sixth Street..
