Police: Madison Home Invader Sought Pills, Stole XBox Instead

MADISON, TN — He came looking for pills but had to settle for an Xbox and now he and his new video-game console are on the lam.

Metro Police are searching for an armed suspect who busted into a Madison home around 2:30 Monday morning and demanded pills. When the homeowner failed to produce any, the suspect stole an Xbox and tried to make off with a television, but was unable to wrest it from its wall mount, police said.

The suspect also hit the victim in the head with his gun, but there were no visible injuries.

The man was described as an African American male who has a tattoo, possibly of a cross, underneath his eye. Investigators and K-9 officers were searching the area Monday.
