Police: Man Fired 17 Shots During Donelson Tattoo Dispute
A 21-year-old is charged with attempted murder after repeatedly firing a gun during an argument about a tattoo.

DONELSON, TN — A 21-year-old man is charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing at least 17 times during a dispute about a tattoo at a Donelson apartment complex. Two of the 17 shots struck the victim, in the buttocks and on the neck.
Metro Police said the victim, who was not identified, went to the home of Bruce White, 21, to get some tattoo work down, but the pair got into an argument. During the argument, White said the victim hit him in the head and put him a chokehold and demanded he apologize for some undisclosed affront. White told police he apologized, the victim released the hold and White said he grabbed his 9-mm handgun and began firing. He said he unloaded 17 shots, all inside the apartment. Police said they found at least a dozen shell casings outside the apartment. Once White emptied the 9-mm, he told police he went to get another handgun and that the shot that struck the victim in the neck was intended to be a headshot.
The victim fled to a nearby apartment to call police, who arrested White as he tried to flee the scene himself.
