Police: Man Killed In Possible Road Rage Shooting Friday Afternoon

A rush-hour road rage encounter ended with fatal gunfire, according to Metro police.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A man was killed in a what Metro Police believe was a road-rage shooting Friday afternoon.

Deangelo Foxx, 32, was in the front passenger seat of his girlfriend's Toyota Camry. As the woman, 20-year-old Kassandra Jones, tried to merge into traffic on Shelby Avenue, the couple and a pair in a white car began to argue, a witness told police.

The passenger in the white car then shot into the Camry, striking Foxx. Jones pulled over at Second Avenue and Russell Street and made contact with police. Foxx was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Metro Police say they have "strong leads."
