Police: Mother Set Up Brutal East Nashville Carjacking
A woman is accused of setting up a friend to be carjacked and robbed in East Nashville.

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police arrested a Nashville woman investigators say set-up a brutal carjacking and robbery.
According to investigators, Samantha Hardy called a friend — one would assume a now-former friend — to tell him her car stalled on Pennock Avenue with her two children in the backseat. When the man arrived, he began to move the car seats from her car to his and then was jumped from behind by two men and beat with a metal pipe.
The men took the victim's cell phone, wallet and car keys and drove off in his car. He was able to lead police to Hardy, who was arrested on aggravated burglary charges. The accomplices have not been identified.
