Pot Smoking Semi Driver Crashes Into Goodlettsville Garbage Truck: Police

A semi-truck driver left the interstate, busted a fence and hit a garbage truck in Goodlettsville.

GOODLETTSVILLE, TN — A semi-truck driver and her passenger were arrested after their tractor-trailer hit a garbage truck in Goodlettsville Wednesday morning.

Metro Police say the truck veered off Interstate 65, plowed through a fence, careened into a ditch, hitting a garbage truck in the process. No one was hurt.

When officers arrived, they say they smelled marijuana and a drug-sniffing dog located pot in the cab of the truck. The passenger is a convicted felon, according to police, and was carrying a handgun. Both he and the female driver were arrested but were not immediately identified.
