Two Women Charged In Cayce Homes Double Murder

A pair of women have been indicted in a May double murder in East Nashville, in addition to a man arrested Tuesday.

NASHVILLE, TN — Two women were charged Wednesday in connection to the May double murder at the James Cayce Homes in East Nashville.

Taylor Roberts, 19, was arrested in Maury County Tuesday night after the grand jury indicted her on two counts of felony murder and two counts of robbery. Shakiria Webster, 20, was indicted on the same charges. She was already in custody in Sumner County for an unconnected crime. The women join Columbia's Tramell R. Sparkman, 28, in being charged for the murders of Brandon Jordan, 22, and Eric Allen, 38. Sparkman was arrested in Spring Hill Tuesday after the true bill against him was handed down.

At 12:50 a.m May 23, Metro Police officers discovered the two men shot dead at an apartment in the Cayce Homes. Jordan was lying on the ground near the apartment’s porch, shot in the upper torso. Allen, who lived at the apartment, was found in the doorway with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Jordan died at the scene, while Allen was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Detectives believe robbery was the motive. In addition to the two murder charges, Sparkman is charged with a an attempted burglary on Electric Avenue the same day as the shootings and also faces charges for allegedly shooting a man on Cleveland Street the day after.
