Woman Charged in Connection with Police Shooting in East Nashville
A 26-year-old woman faces attempted murder charges for her role in the shooting of a Nashville police officer.
NASHVILLE, TN — A 26-year-old woman wanted in connection with the shooting of a Metro Police officer turned herself in Sunday.
Kathleen Daly was in the hotel room at the Cumberland Inn on Trinity Lane with Paul Hardesty when two Metro officers, Terrance McBride and Ky Luu, knocked on the door, responding to a tip that Hardesty was there and had been bragging about recent robberies.
Daly opened the door for the officers and then Hardesty began firing a shotgun from inside the bathroom, striking McBride in the shoulder. McBridge underwent surgery and is continuing to recover.

Moments later, Hardesty shot himself with the shotgun, according to police.
Daly is charged with attempted murder, criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving false information to officers. She is being held on a $265,000 bond.
