Woman Shot in Apparent Fight Over a Man Outside East Nashville Bar: Police

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — A woman is recovering from a gunshot wound in her leg after being shot by another woman during a fight over a man, Metro Police say.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the scene, outside of the Music City Lounge on Dickerson Pike near McFerrin Park, where a woman had been shot in the leg. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim and shooter about a man. The shooter fled before police arrived.
