Would-Be Robbers Play Like Santa, End Up On Naughty List After Falling Through Roof At Rivergate Best Buy
Metro Police are looking for two men who cut a hole in the roof of a Best Buy in an apparent robbery attempt early Thursday.
MADISON, TN — Twasn't the prancing and pawning of reindeer hoofs on the roof of a Rivergate electronics store in the first hours of December. It was two men who are likely to end up with stockings full of coal.
Police responded to an alarm at the Gallatin Pike Best Buy near Rivergate Mall early Thursday morning. When they arrived, the store was empty, but there was a hole in the roof.
Surveillance video shows two men falling through the whole, which they apparently cut in the roof after clambering from the top of a neighboring store.

The men immediately fled without stealing anything when the alarm sounded as their unusual method of breaking-and-entering proved less clever than expected.
Police are searching for the suspects.
