• Walker Valley Softball Falls In 3-4A Region Semifinals (chattanoogan.com) — Lincoln County’s Lady Falcons shut out Walker Valley 8-0 in a Region 3-4A softball semifinal played in Fayetteville, Tenn., advancing to the regional final and state sectionals. The game featured dominant pitching from junior Brenna Edwards and plenty of extra-base hits, including a three-run homer by Lily Pope, while Walker Valley’s season ended at 29-11-1.

• Chuckey-Doak Senior Named Youth Of The Year, Statewide Scholarship Winner (wgrv.com) — A Fayetteville student, Kenslsy Curtis, has been named one of three Middle Tennessee recipients of the Keep Tennessee Beautiful scholarship, putting our town on a statewide stage. The program honors high school seniors committed to environmental and community stewardship, alongside top students from East and West Tennessee, and supports their college plans with $1,250 awards.
