3 Charged After Pregnant Doe Found Skinned In Franklin Pool

Two adults and a juvenile face a load of charges connected to the death and grisly disposal of a deer in Franklin in May.

FRANKLIN, TN — Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officials charged two adults and a juvenile in connection with last month's grisly discovery of a doe in a Franklin country club's pool.

The body of a skinned, pregnant doe was placed in a large garbage bag and then dumped into the Temple Hills Country Club pool May 23. Some of the meat had been removed from the animal. Stephen Ross, Samuel Bland and a minor face charges of hunting from a motor vehicle, shooting from or across a public road, hunting big game in closed season, illegal possession or taking of an animal, spotlighting deer, aggravated criminal littering, criminal trespass and vandalism greater than $2,500. Ross and Bland are also charged with contribution to the delinquency of a minor.

The trio was identified last month, the TWRA said, but charges were not filed until Thursday.
