- A star-studded music memorial honoring a Franklin Police Department officer will take place next month at The Nashville Palace. Officer Jeff Carson was a country music hitmaker who earned an Academy of Country Music award before retiring to pursue his lifelong dream of a career in law enforcement. Carson's memorial concert will take place on Tuesday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m., with proceeds benefitting Franklin's Law Enforcement Assistance Partnership. (Franklin PD News)
- The Franklin Police Department is offering a cash reward for anyone who can help identify a man wanted for using a stolen credit card. - The Williamson County Schools Board of Education has voted to deny an application by Founders Classical Academy to operate within the county. The decision was made in a 10-1 vote on Monday, with board member Dan Cash abstaining. The team at Founders Classical Academy will now have 30 days to resubmit an application for the board's approval. (Tennessean)
