Franklin Man Pulls Gun On Officers After Hit & Run: Police
A man suspected in a hit-and-run pulled a loaded .45 semi-automatic pistol on officers, Franklin Police say.

FRANKLIN, TN — Officers investigating a hit and crash had to tackle and disarm a suspect who pulled a fully-loaded semiautomatic handgun, according to Franklin Police.
Shortly before 2:30 Thursday morning, police were called by witnesses who said a Nissan Sentra crashed into a parked car on Fair Street and then pulled into a nearby apartment complex. Police located the driver of the Sentra, 32-year-old Christopher Denham, who allegedly admitted to the crash and then "lunged" for a handgun.
Officers tackled and subdued Denham, disarming him of the fully-loaded .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun.

Denham is charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of a crash, and no insurance. He is free on a $47,000 bond.
