Franklin Police Investigate Carjacking; May Be Related to Others in Davidson, Wilson Counties
Four men stole a car in Franklin after asking for directions, using similar methods as two other overnight carjackings, police say.

FRANKLIN, TN β Franklin detectives are seeking four suspects who allegedly pulled off an overnight carjacking. Investigators believe the heist may be connected to similar carjackings in Davidson and Wilson counties.
At 3:45 Thursday morning, four men in a small, sporty red car pulled up next to the victim who was arriving at the apartment complex at 700 Westminster Drive. The two suspects in the front seat motioned for the victim to roll down his window and then asked for directions, the victim told police. While the victim was looking directions up on his phone, a man in the back seat of the other car quietly approached, pushed the barrel of his gun to the victimβs temple and ordered him out of the car. The victim complied; nevertheless, the suspect fired a shot at him while stealing his car. The suspect missed and the victim was uninjured.
Police are searching for four black male suspects and two vehicles: the small red sporty car that the suspects arrived in, and the victimβs stolen 2004 black Mercury Grand Marquis. It has damage to the front bumper, and at the time of the theft was bearing Tennessee license plate 7C9 5V9.
