Happy Friday, people of Franklin! Here's everything you need to know about what's happening in Franklin today.
First, today's weather:

Here are the top 3 stories in Franklin today:
- In recognition of Black History Month, Franklin Tomorrow's FrankTalks lecture scheduled for Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, will focus on the theme "Significant Sites in Franklin's African American History." Alma McLemore, president of the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County; local historian Thelma Battle; and the Rev. Kenneth Hill from Shorter Chapel A.M.E Church will be on the panel. - It's a local love story just in time for Valentine's Day weekend: Country singer Adam Doleac got engaged to longtime girlfriend MacKinnon Morrissey at the historic Franklin Theatre earlier this week. Morrissey arrived at the theater thinking she'd be seeing her favorite movie, The Parent Trap, with her friends, but instead, she found Doleac waiting there to pop the question. Doleac had one more romantic surprise in store for his now-fiancee: The marquee sign outside Franklin Theatre read, "Never ever gonna want another" — a reference to lyrics from his song, "Another." (People.com)
- Local real estate leader Danny Anderson, the current managing broker of Parks Realty on Main Street in Franklin and a 38-year industry veteran, will be stepping down on Feb. 15 and welcome Pilkerton Realtors agent Matt Ligon to the position. Anderson will assume a new role as the director of culture and community affairs for Parks Realty. (Williamson Herald)
