First, today's weather:
Severe thunderstorms; windy. High: 68 Low: 24.
Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- On Wednesday, Lewisburg Pike in Franklin was shut down and will remain so for the next several months. The road will be closed from downtown Franklin to Mack Hatcher Parkway until at least June 30 as the Tennessee Department of Transportation does drainage and culvert work. Franklin City Administrator Eric Stuckey said Eastern Flank Battlefield Park and Carnton will remain open during the Lewisburg Pike closure. (Williamson Herald)
- We Rock the Spectrum, an inclusive gym for kids, recently celebrated its grand opening in Franklin. The chain of gyms was created for children all across the spectrum to have a supportive, inclusive, and fun place to play. The Franklin location features a 5,600-plus square-foot gym that houses 12 pieces of therapeutic equipment built for sensory processing. (Tennessean)
- The Franklin Historic Zoning Commission recommended denial of the revised site plans for Franklin Grove Estate and Gardens. The plan was presented by The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County last month and proposed decreasing parking and reducing the size of the Hall. The final decision will be made by The Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Feb. 24 at a special joint work session. (Williamson Herald)
