Williamson County New Business Licenses for October 5, 2026 (williamsonsource.com) — Franklin residents can now discover a wave of newly licensed local businesses, from coffee roasters and bakeries to pet waste removal, salons, and home services, all approved between September 28 and October 5. This latest Williamson County license report highlights fresh options for dining, shopping, and professional help right in and around Franklin.
   

2. Franklin fall festival expanding for the first time (wsmv.com) — Franklin's long-running PumpkinFest is expanding to two full days downtown, with food, live music, contests, and arts and crafts on October 24–25. Organizers warn that parking will be tight, but Franklin Transit will run $1 park-and-ride shuttles from Harlinsdale Farm so families can more easily enjoy Middle Tennessee's largest family-friendly fall festival.
   

3. Ride for Zach, Give for Neighbors (williamsonsource.com) — The Williamson County Homeless Alliance is launching the Zach Riggs October Cycle Challenge, asking locals to ride 200 miles and raise $500 to support people experiencing homelessness in Franklin and across the county. With flexible, self-paced riding and a $25 registration, residents can bike, donate, or sponsor a rider to help expand emergency shelter, transitional housing, and long-term housing support.
   

4. Standout TSSAA soccer, volleyball, golf. Vote for Ponce Law Girls Athlete of Week (tennessean.com subscription) — Franklin readers can vote this week for Franklin Christian Academy standouts Naomi Aull and Sierra Craig in The Tennessean's Ponce Law Girls Athlete of the Week poll, which closes Oct. 8 at noon. The statewide list highlights top recent performances in soccer, volleyball, and golf from schools across Middle Tennessee.
   

5. Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo Set To Sell $7 Million Tennessee Home-Months After He Handed Her the Property in Divorce (beaumontenterprise.com) — A high-end Franklin property once shared by Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo is being prepared for sale after their amicable divorce, drawing attention to the city's luxury real-estate market. The 7,700-square-foot home on nearly 10 acres, plus a related Franklin business address, keeps the celebrity couple's story closely tied to the community.
