  1. Earlier this month, Williamson County Schools Superintendent Jason Golden announced his plan to recommend closing Discovery Virtual, the district's virtual school experience. The primary factor behind the decision was insufficient enrollment numbers. In response to the news, parents formed a "Save Discovery Virtual" Facebook group to share their thoughts and concerns on the closure. (WSMV 4)
  2. Archaeological digs have begun on the future site of the Franklin Grove Estate and Gardens. An extensive, non-invasive ground-penetrating radar (GPR) survey has been used to examine the topography of the area. The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County says it will continue to learn more about the history of the property and its inhabitants as the digs continue.
