Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- On early Friday morning, a house fire left a local family of five without their home. Franklin firefighters responded to the blaze around 1:30 a.m in the Westhaven neighborhood on Stonewater Blvd. No cause of the fire has been determined, according to officials, and the family and their pets reportedly made it out of the home unharmed. - A former City of Franklin employee is accusing the city of gender discrimination in their IT department. A woman filed a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court for Middle Tennessee, claiming she was passed over for a promotion to a manager position in favor of a less qualified. man. She alleges that Franklin violated the Civil Rights Act. (Tennessean)
