Since the beginning of November, several convenience store robberies in Davidson County have result in cigarette theft.
- Two armed masked men robbed the Circle K on Nolensville Road November 7, making off with cash and cigarettes.
- A pair of men held up a Murfreesboro Road Marathon store November 14, stealing $80, two cigars and a carton of cigarettes.
- An Xpress Deli on Bell Road was robbed November 17— the thieves gained access through windows broken in an earlier burglary — and stole cartons of cigarettes.
Metro Police do not track cigarette theft specifically and say stealing tobacco is a fairly common modus operandi for stick-up artists.
