Kingsport City Schools Launch New Communication Platform For Families (wcyb.com) — Families in Kingsport City Schools will now receive all school updates through ParentSquare, a new centralized communication app the district is rolling out today. Parents can customize how they get messages from teachers, coaches and schools, while middle and high school students will use StudentSquare to stay directly connected with school leaders and activities.

Ferrum announces 2026 Hall of Fame class (wsls.com) — Kingsport native Kaitlyn Culler Hicks is being inducted into Ferrum College’s 2026 Sports Hall of Fame after a record-setting softball career from 2010–13. She helped the Panthers win conference titles, became the program’s all-time wins leader, and later earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, joining six other former athletes in this year’s class.
