• Ida Layman Humphreys, 92, Loudon (bbbtv12.com) — Family and friends are invited to honor Ida Layman Humphreys, with interment following her June 1 funeral service at Edgemon Cemetery in Kingston. The longtime seamstress and devoted caregiver was remembered for her strong Christian faith, love of family, and special chocolate gravy. Arrangements are being handled by Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston. 
• Virginia Ann Fields (rutherfordsource.com) — Kingston readers may remember Virginia Ann “Cotton” Fields, a Kingston native whose family is inviting friends to visitation and funeral services in Smyrna on June 5. The beloved mother, grandmother, and UT Vols fan was known for coaching girls’ softball, crafting, sewing, and her cooking and baking. She retired from Nissan in Smyrna after 20 years.
